Yamasa Basic Thyroid Research Award
Miyake Prize
This prize is named after Professor Emeritus Tadashi Miyake (Kyoto University) and is awarded to an individual (or a group) who has accomplished a great achievement in thyroid research or in the education of young investigators. The winner will be invited to present an honorary lecture at the Annual Meeting.

Roche Young Investigator Award (YIA)
The Japan Thyroid Association (JTA) created this award to recognize outstanding abstracts submitted at the Annual Meeting by young JTA members aged less than 40. Applicants should be the first or the presenting authors of the abstracts. The selection committee convenes before the Meeting and nominates eight candidates. After a presentation at the Meeting, five of them will be awarded.
Yamasa Basic Thyroid Research Award
The Yamasa Basic Thyroid Research Award was established to promote active and continuous development of basic or experimental thyroid research in Japan. The winner is selected from the applicants by peer review. The applicants must be aged less than 50 who have been members of the JTA more than three years.
