日本甲状腺学会のシンボルマーク（ロゴ）は橋本 策先生の肖像です。 橋本先生は1912年世界に先駆けて今日で言う「慢性甲状腺炎」を甲状腺の新しい疾患として提唱され「橋本病」の名は世界に廣く知られるようになりました。

The logo of the association consists of the portrait of Dr.Hashimoto who described the chronic thyroiditis for the first time in 1912.Since then, this new clinical entity has been internationally coined as “Hashimoto disease” or “Hashimoto throiditis”. The members of the association would like to pass on his pioneering spirit.
